Have you ever heard someone say, *“You don’t need crystals, tarot, or any of that, all you need is yourself”*?
It’s a statement that sounds empowering… until you think about it for more than two minutes. Because while it’s true that our inner power is unmatched, pretending tools don’t matter is like saying a carpenter doesn’t need a hammer, technically possible, but why make the job harder than it needs to be?

[![Melanin Magic Oracle Card ](https://46074680.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net/hub/46074680/hubfs/Melanin%20Magic%20Oracle%20Card%20(2).png?width=1200&length=1200&name=Melanin%20Magic%20Oracle%20Card%20(2).png)](https://www.richtuals444.com/melanin-magic-oracle-deck)

**The Tools Card Out of The Melanin Magic Oracle Deck.**

I’ve been on my spiritual journey for a while now, soaking up wisdom from both external sources such as books, conversations, teachings  and internal ones like intuition, meditation, and channeling.

And here’s the short answer: **No, we don’t *need* any of these tools.**

But… they’re here for a reason.

What I’ve noticed over time is that when people say, “We don’t need religion, tarot, crystals, spells, all we need is ourselves,” there’s often a subtle tone of spiritual superiority (even if unintentional). The idea sounds empowering, but for most people who aren’t spiritual leaders or deeply immersed in the spiritual arts, it’s not THAT simple.

It’s like telling someone, “If you work hard enough, you can be a millionaire too.” Sure, it’s possible BUT as we all know, resources and tools often make the difference in whether that vision becomes reality. Some people do shift their entire energy through sheer willpower; others need something tangible to help them bridge the gap.

That’s where spiritual tools come in.

- A crystal might help someone shift their frequency.
- Words of affirmation might do the same for someone else.

Neither is better or worse, both are valid.

The thing is, **everything has a vibration.** Tools, words, places, and people. They all carry energy. And when we’re ready to shift our own vibration, sometimes connecting with a certain frequencies through these tools makes the transition smoother, faster, or simply more accessible.

So while “your vibration is everything” is a *powerful truth,* it’s incomplete without acknowledging that tools themselves also vibrate. To dismiss them entirely can overlook how they support transformation in practical, grounded ways.

Sometimes the power is in us.
Sometimes the power is in the tool.
Most times, it’s in the harmony between the two.
